Welcome and thank you for visiting my blog about personal growth. I plan to focus on the ever-present topic areas of Mind, Body, and Spirit.
Each of these areas is easy to focus on one at a time.
They are just as easy to neglect.
Those of us who are more intellectual and stimulated by learning new things find it easier to focus on the Mind. But what about our mental health? How is the stress level of that person for whom an A is the only acceptable grade on the transcript?
Others of us find the Body an easy focal point as it is tangible and measurable with weights and sizes, what we put in our bodies, and how we treat them. Some of us struggle in this area for a variety of reasons including the great taste of food and the hard work of working out.
The Spirit is that beautiful intangible which we can declare one way one day and another way another day. One’s cornerstone becomes another’s stumbling block. For some the Spirit is an existential element of personal expression. For others it is founded by a book and millennia of story, tradition, and the attempt to follow God.
I always wondered if I would be of a different faith if I were born in a different home; or grew up in a different culture. Or would I eventually come to the faith to which I belong as I believe it to be the one true faith that is open to all.
It is my hope that this is a place you come to challenge, share, and be challenged. Most of all I hope it is a place where you find hope and peace through honesty and truth.
I expect this journey will take on a life of its own and challenge me to grow and articulate myself in new ways.
Thank you for joining me.
